Dr. Kiarash Saleki founded CISBM, the Centre for Immunogenetics and Systems Biomedicine, in 2026, and serves as its Director General.
A physician-scientist, he brings extensive experience in medical research spanning immunogenetics and systems biomedicine. His work has been recognised with multiple awards, including selection as national researcher of the year, alongside various research grants.
He has collaborated with laboratories in the United States and the United Kingdom, including the Cancer Genetics and Stem Cell Group at the University of Nottingham's Biodiscovery Institute (BDI).
CISBM was established to give researchers working across immunogenetics and systems biomedicine, at any career stage and any institution, a structured way to collaborate on focused, rigorous scientific work: research proposals, manuscripts, and computational analyses developed together rather than in isolation.
As Director General, Dr. Saleki sets the scientific direction of CISBM and oversees its activities, membership, and research programme.
